Disney is in talks with producer/director Joe Dante about directing Toy Story 3, which will be released in 2019, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The 2019 film will star the Pixar co-founder and chairman, Pete Docter, and his Toy Story co-director, John Lasseter.
The film is expected to be Pixar’s first major release in nearly 10 years, after the release of Monsters University.
